Ampoules vs vials

Same compound, same strength — two formats. Here is how they differ.

Most Driada Medical injectables are made in two formats: ampoules and vials. The compound and the strength are usually the same — Testos is 250 mg/ml in both — but the packaging, and how it is used, differ.

Ampoules: 10 × 1 ml, single use

An ampoule is a small sealed glass capsule holding 1 ml. It is opened by snapping the neck, and the contents are used at once. A pack holds ten ampoules.

  • Hermetically sealed glass — nothing touches the contents until it is opened.
  • One ampoule, one use: there is no stopper to puncture repeatedly.
  • Easy to carry a precise quantity, one millilitre at a time.

Vials: 10 ml, multi-dose

A vial is a glass bottle with a rubber stopper and an aluminium seal, holding 10 ml. The contents are drawn through the stopper with a needle, so one vial is used several times.

  • The same 10 ml in a single container.
  • The stopper is wiped and pierced for each draw, so clean handling matters.
  • Less glass to open and dispose of.

Which should you choose?

Choose ampoules if you prefer every portion sealed until the moment it is used. Choose a vial if you prefer one container for the whole volume. In both cases the product carries the same unique verification code — check it on the Verify page — and the same published lab tests.

Other vials in our range

Peptides and HGH are also supplied in vials, usually as a powder with water for reconstitution, and bacteriostatic water is available separately in a 10 ml vial.
